报告摘要:Single-atom catalysts (SACs) have recently attracted much interest because of their maximum atomic utilization efficiency and highly tunable electronic properties. In this presentation, I will share our recent works on regulating the electronic structures of SACs at atomic level to improve the catalytic performance, by heteroatom doping, asymmetric coordination, dual metal site coupling, and alloy engineering. These atomically engineered SACs have been applied for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR)hydrogen evolution reaction (HER),oxygen evolution reaction (OER), CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR),and nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR), with enhanced performance. The underlying mechanisms will also be discussed.

报告人介绍:陈鹏教授现任新加坡南洋理工大学化学、化学工程与生物技术学院副院长,新加坡南洋理工大学化学、化学工程与生物技术学院、数字分子分析与科学研究所和李光前医学院全职教授。2002年获美国密苏里大学哥伦比亚分校博士学位,随后在美国哈佛大学进行博士后研究。他目前是英国皇家化学学会会员和全球高被引研究者。他的主要研究方向为纳米材料(特别是纳米碳材料)的催化和生物医学应用。
